Our Founding Team and Why We Created TimeCatchApp

Our team includes a developer, a Fortune 500 executive and consultant, and an MBA and financial analyst. Here's our story...

Identifying the need

Our developer worked for a company that created sites for multiple clients and keeping track of time was very important for proper billing. However, she found that the time tracking was using up time that could be used for work and she struggled to find an existing site that adequetely met her needs. She needed to pause to find a way to switch between tasks or calculate the time spent before moving on the next one. Or she could not make notes about the details of what she had been working on during each time segment used. And so, she created her own time tracking site to aid her and allow her to focus on the client's work. From that beginning, TimeCatchApp was born.

Growing the idea

TimeCatchApp was further developed by a former executive of a Fortune 500 company. He was responsible for the P&L of a multimullion dollar scientific consulting organization. He saw the benefits of the software for the management of consulting, freelancing, and small businesses. In a big organization, he had tools and processes to manage the business that smaller businesses don't have access to, but could use to better manage their operations and time. These insights helped TimeCatchApp grow from time tracking to an easy to use software that not only tracks time, but also helps freelance and small consulting groups more professionally manage their business, work more efficiently and spend more time doing what they love.

Managing the nuts and bolts

Our management specialist was responsible for guiding the development of the software based on market needs and for integrating time tracking and project and document management. She emphasized the need for ease of use and team communication features of the software such as downloadable attachments, pop up memos, links, and automated emails. The time reports and alerts were features that she felt were crucial for good management and work flow management. She is in charge of customer service and human resources.

Shaping the app

Another developer on the team is a Toptal talent with years of experience in web development. He worked on the app code and added many useful features. He works hard to create a top-notch app and provides useful insights to guide its developement. He ensures that the app is built with the best practices to deliver a very stable, secure, bug-free, and comfortable user experience.
